Phew! It’s a good thing birthdays only come round once a year. Clemmie turned four today and we have had a two-day celebration, and another party with the grandparents is still to come this weekend. Great fun, but oh, so exhausting, especially when the day kicks off at 6.30am. The birthday girl is now fast asleep in her bed and if I wasn’t on a detox I would collapse on the sofa with a glass of wine. As it is, a cup of peppermint tea will have to suffice!
{The bunting that normally lives in her bedroom moved downstairs to mark the special occasion}
{And lots of balloons in all different colours}
{Waiting for the party guests to arrive. We decided against a big party and just had four little friends over for a small celebration yesterday while the boys were at school}
{Holding court on the kitchen table}
{A big pile of pink presents greeted the birthday girl when she came downstairs this morning}
{All the presents were opened in about five minutes flat. One of the favourites was a Cinderella doll from Cameron}
{You’re allowed cupcakes for breakfast when it’s your birthday!}

Clementine looks like an all-girl girl in her beautiful pink outfits. I love them! She is tall, isn’t she for a four-year old? What a doll. Happy Birthday and well deserved rest, Mum.
Thank you! Yes she is quite tall and very skinny. She takes after my mum who is 5’8″ and very slim. I on the other hand am only 5’2″ so am sure all my children will be taller than me very soon! X
congratulations to your little princess!!! 🙂
Thank you x
How gorgeous! Happy Birthday Clementine! xx
Thank you so much xx
Just gorgeous. A good idea to have just the four little friends for the party.
Thank you. Yes I remember reading somewhere that when they’re little you should have the same number of guests as the age they’re turning. X
Yes, I think it’s much more manageable for a young child socially. Wish I’d done that for my son’s 4th, which was chaotic. Oh well, you live and learn!
Yes you do! I did exactly the same with my two sons when they turned four. X
And by the way, thanks for the follow on my blog. I just love yours!
Thank you and ditto! X

Oh, I love the idea of cupcakes for breakfast. It looks like she had a fabulous day.
I know, it’s a nice excuse to have cake for breakfast. Was your husband’s birthday the same day? X
The 9th? Yes. His was a lot less gorgeous and special than Clemmie’s though. He couldn’t have pulled off the flamenco dress with such aplomb anyway.
Happy Birthday Clemmie! Love her polka dot dress! And I want cupcakes for breakfast! xoxo Fanni
Thank you! It was rather nice. Xx
The bunting is so perfect! Great to have something you can multi-use specially on those dates. Happy (belated) birthday to her!
Yes, I love it. I bought it for her Christening three years ago and it always goes up on her birthday. I put it up in her room about a year ago as it’s nice to enjoy it all year round too. X
Love this! Happy Birthday to the sweetest Clemmie. x
Thank you! Look forward to the next party. x
Happy birthday to Clemmie! Love your pictures, so well taken!
Thank you so much! X
So cute! I love the name banner! Happy Birthday to your little princess. It looks like she had a great day!
